Top Ten Foods Your Dog Should Never Eat

As a dog owner myself, it is very easy to give my dog a piece of whatever I am eating. But there are foods that your dog should never eat.

Top Ten List:

1) Onions - Contains sulfoxides and disulfides, which can cause damage to red blood cells and cause anemia.

2) Garlic - Same as onions, but less toxic.

3) Chocolate - Anything with caffeine, such as coffee tea etc... Can be toxic and affect the heart and nervous system.

4) Grapes - Can damage the kidneys.

5) Raisins - Can damage the kidneys.

6) Alcoholic Beverages - Can cause intoxication, coma and eventually death.

7) Bones - Chicken and/or beef bones they tend to splinter which can be very harmful to their throat but in the digestive system as well.

8) Plants - Can also be deadly for dogs. Some commonplants that can be poisonous are rhododendron, azalea, lily, daffodil, foxglove, cycads, rhubarb leaves and oleander.

9) Sugarless Gum and Candies - This can cause a rapid drop in your dog's blood sugar.

10) Fatty Foods - They are hard for a dog to digest and can overtax the pancreas and eventually lead to death.

I hope this information is useful. Remember a good dog is a happy and healthy dog.
